❌ MYTH: Sterilization Pouches “burn” in dry heat sterilizers – it’s better to sterilize without them.
✅ TRUTH: MicroSTOP Sterilization Pouches are made from heat-resistant materials and can withstand temperatures up to 200°C, hence they do not burn if the dry heat sterilizer is functioning properly and the sterilization temperature does not exceed the maximum limit. The optimal regime for sterilization in craft packets is 180°C / 60 minutes.
❌ MYTH: Tools in Sterilization Pouches remain sterile even after opening the packet.
✅ TRUTH: The sterility of tools is guaranteed only if the Sterilization Pouches is hermetically sealed. Only open the Sterilization Pouches just before the manicure procedure – this is the only way to maintain the sterility of the tools after processing and ensure the safety of the service.
❌ MYTH: The class IV indicator can change color if ironed. Therefore, a change in color of the class IV indicator is not a guarantee of successful sterilization.
✅ TRUTH: The class IV indicator only changes color if sterilization is carried out according to the required time and temperature regime, namely: – from blue to shades of brown in dry heat sterilizers; – from blue to shades of violet in autoclaves.
